That popular tournament from Paddy Power, Back That Ace Up is being re-launched and the first round began on Sunday 29th March. With over $60,000 of prizes on offer, there will be over $5000 of weekly prizes for ten weeks, culminating in a special grand final tournament on offer with a $13,000 WSOP Package on June 11th.
The Paddy Poker players compete and the results will appear on a weekly leader board which will take the number of hands, table stakes and table time into account. That’s not all; new players are eligible for a $600 sign up bonus. If that’s not enough, as well as handing out over $5,000 in cash and prizes each week, it is possible to qualify with a WSOP package and giving players ample opportunity to qualify for the Grand Final tournament. Get signed up with Paddy Power and get into the money!

Following months of preparation, a new training site ProPlayLive has completed their training videos, which offer training for would be World Series poker champions. The videos are claimed to squeeze as much information and learning value into as short a time as possible, whilst still maintaining the integrity of play because rarely are any actual hands cut out.
There are of course a number of good poker training sites in the marketplace today, but their instructors are predominantly online poker players and the general public has probably never heard of them.
A different approach is adopted by ProPlayLive that offers great poker training for both the online player, as well as the live game player who visits casino poker rooms or plays home games and does it with instructors that have proven live game success. Further information as well as a demonstration video can be accessed at ProPlayLive.com.

A member of the online site Titan Poker has scooped the top prize of $525,000 after playing in the game for a total of 13 hours and 28 minutes. Player “Ragen” beat “gwka” in to second place for the runner up to pick up a very nice second prize of $275,000 making his toil at the online tables well worth his while too. The winner signed up to the Titan poker room in May 2007 a good move and not a bad night’s work!
This game started on March 8th and lasted into the early hours of March 9th drawing in a total of 1,370 players for this$2,500,000 guaranteed tournament. The satellite tournaments offered buy ins for as little as $2.75 plus 20 cents so it made it possible to win a share of the £2,500,000 prize money for a low investment of less than three dollars. It was possible to skip playing the satellite events and buy straight into the main tournament for $1,500 plus eighty cents.
It could only happen in Australia, or could it? The past few days has seen the online gambling community across the world witness one of the most anti-gambling initiatives in recent years. The Aussie government is running a programme which places a ban on ISP sites that contain malicious material, considered to be harmful!
Now you could rightly ask what has that to do with online gambling but these sites are being put on the list along with child pornography? Good question. Many online gambling industry sources feel this move is because the Australian Government cannot tax online gambling. In light of the fact that they have just spent $42 billion AUD, and have lost their ability to tax Alco-pops, they are starting to feel the pinch. Watch this space.

The Ladbrokes online poker site is offering a massive $1000 for new participants when they sign up to play online poker. This will vary depending on the value of your first poker chip purchase, the number of qualifying raked hands that you participate in within the first 30 days of your first Ladbrokes Poker Chip purchase. This can be checked with the Raked Hand Checker in your Poker Lobby.
Recently announced, Ladbrokes are offering as many poker players as possible the opportunity to go to Las Vegas, be part of the World’s biggest poker event, compete in at least 3 Main Event satellites, enjoy the Vegas nightlife, then hopefully to deliver another winner from the Ladbroke poker for the second year running. Full details of this and the welcome bonus can be found on their website.
