Every poker player seems to agree that online poker is getting tougher by the day, as players are learning and getting experience at such an accelerated rate.  There was a glory period of online poker but most agree those days are long gone. But do not despair, there are online poker sites that offer easy money if you are careful and look around. These gaming rooms attract new players to their tables while at the same time putting off pro players.

One site that we would suggest is the Lucky Ace site which is part of the renowned 888.com network so you know its “kosher”! Many of the skins on this new network are affiliated with online casinos and sports betting, which means that you get a lot of gamblers treating the poker tables like a house game. It means that the player pool is on the low side and that means you can easily find out who not to sit next to. An excellent sign up bonus is just another good reason to look at LuckyAce poker.

Body builder Erik Cajelais who, we imagine, was a very intimidating presence at the poker table, has captured his first bracelet last night when he defeated Mats Gavatin in the £2500 Pot Limit Omaha Hold’em event. He overcame a table that included Richard Gryko, Robin Keston and Men ‘The Master’ Nguyen on his way to the £104,677 first prize.

He has been close before when he came second in the $5000 PLO rebuy in 2007 and it was this that gave him the extra motivation to go the extra mile and do everything to win an event which he successfully did on September 23rd. Erik’s determination is an inspiration for would be winners at poker, you just have to keep trying and of course hold the right cards, but that’s what winning is about anyway isn’t it?

There are hundreds of misconceptions and rumours about poker bots, including what they are, how they work so should you be concerned that they may be at your table? If you are one of the millions that do not know what a Poker Bot is, it is a very simple program which reads the poker table window as an image and is nothing new. It was originally developed for the game of chess.

There is speculation as to whether poker bots are being used in earnest at all and the answer to that is a definite yes. It is a matter for you to decide if you should be worried about it as the experts will tell you that they are already out there at many sites where people play, silently making their masters a few dollars every day. They can make a marginal profit but an amateur poker player will often beat them as they are looking for programmed moves. Just go out and enjoy your nightly game of online poker at your favourite gaming site.

Texas Hold’em is an information game and the more information you have the better you’ll do and better still you will be better at acquiring it too. It is known that one of the biggest edges you can get over your opponents is having more information than them about the hand in play. This is the number one reason you would not want to give anything away, which your opponents would die to get! For this reason, many poker players will fish for information simply by getting you to talk to them.

So you should just keep your mouth shut and say nothing, the more you talk during a hand, the greater the chance of you inadvertently giving away information about your hand or your possible actions. This is why many poker players will fish for information simply by getting you to talk to them. Simple questions the most subtle is how many chips do you have left? A strong poker player knows exactly how many chips you have in front of you; they only asked to hear you talk. So remember just keep your mouth shut!
