

It could only happen in Australia, or could it? The past few days has seen the online gambling community across the world witness one of the most anti-gambling initiatives in recent years. The Aussie government is running a programme which places a ban on ISP sites that contain malicious material, considered to be harmful!
Now you could rightly ask what has that to do with online gambling but these sites are being put on the list along with child pornography? Good question. Many online gambling industry sources feel this move is because the Australian Government cannot tax online gambling. In light of the fact that they have just spent $42 billion AUD, and have lost their ability to tax Alco-pops, they are starting to feel the pinch. Watch this space.
