You often play poker online and fancy becoming a professional player and wonder just what is involved. Firstly do you have the bankroll required to become a professional poker pro? This is not as easy a question as you might think. If you are playing poker as your primary way of making money you had better have a big enough bankroll to both play and to pay bills for at least three months ahead of time. Do not make the mistake that you will have to become a more aggressive player, if so stay playing online poker for fun.

Another major question to ask yourself is whether or not you have been keeping track of your wins and losses. Guess work here is not allowed and you should keep an accurate record going back not for a week or two but for at least a year! Playing online poker as a pro does not mean that you have to beat the best players all the time, when you are a poker pro you will step down in competition so you can win money, ego and professionalism do not mix. Ask yourself these questions with honest answers before you take the step.
